Tithes and offerings

We believe gifts, tithes, and offerings aren't just a command from the old testament, but an act of sacrifice and worship. The first offering unto the Lord was in Genesis 4:4 thousands of years before the command of giving a tenth, in this we see that instead of compulsion, coercion or shame; tithes, offerings, and gifts are an outward reflection of inward devotion. The Lord loves a cheerful giver, so whether it's 2 mites or 5 loaves and 2 fish, the amount is far less important than the heart behind it.
